Thoughts on Prayer
There is a defining difference between petitioning God and proclaiming His promises. We petition God for things we seek, but must proclaim the things He has already promised. A child does not beg his father every day to access something that he has already been promised.
It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,” 2 Cor. 4:13

Thoughts on answered Prayer
When we begin praying according to the heart of God we begin seeing the move of the hand of God. He is looking for those who are driven by His purpose more than their own. “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and SEEK MY FACE, and turn from their wicked ways, then I WILL HEAR from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chron 7:14

Spiritual Warfare – SWAT 10-4
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:5
The average adult brain weighs between 2.7 to 3.1 lbs. Notice I said “average.” It has over 100,000,000,000 neurons and is the control center of the human body. Our brains assist us by deciphering the information gathered through our senses and then formulating a response.
The mind allows us to experience the emotions of joy, happiness, and pleasure – it even has the ability to process anger, fear, and pain. These thoughts and emotions determine our overall health; physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
The enemy of our soul, Satan, is all too aware of the power of a “sound-mind.” It is for this reason that he launches a barrage of negative thoughts and feelings upon us. If we are not careful, we will embrace these dangerous lies and become consumed and frozen by the negative feelings they create.
Just as “faith” is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen – so too, “fear” is a substance. When allowed to remain, it begins to materialize and produces negative consequences for the believer.
Have you ever stopped to consider that your mind is the only internal organ encased inside a hardened shell of bone – unlike our other vital organs, which are only partially protected by our flesh? Perhaps, God, who made us in His image, was fully aware of the importance of protecting one’s mind.
As a follower of Jesus, we are instructed to “put-on” the mind of Christ. Simply put, we must begin thinking as He thinks. We must begin seeing ourselves as he sees us. This requires dwelling and meditating upon his “truth,” as opposed to the lies of the enemy. Only by covering our minds in his Word can we walk in this peace that passes understanding. It is a peace that comes when our minds reflect upon what God says is true about our situations, as opposed to what we may feel or think is true.
Spiritual-warfare begins in the battle-field of our minds. To gain the victory we must be willing to engage the enemy. If unchallenged, he will begin fortifying strongholds and “digging-in,” so to speak. His ultimate plan is to lead you into captivity as a prisoner of war. Christians who are unwilling to resist his efforts in this area will simply “hang-on” and “tolerate” life, at best.
You have been called with a high calling – enlisted in an army that never sleeps, never retreats, and never quits. Under the banner and blood of Jesus Christ, you have already been given the title: “Conqueror.” Rise up today! Arm your mind with the powerful “Helmet-of-Salvation” and silence the storm of a restless mind.
“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Pray this prayer:
“Lord, I declare that Jesus Christ is the Son-of God and acknowledge that my salvation and hope is found in him alone. Today, I surrender my mind to you. I ask you to come and guard my thoughts against the enemy’s lies. Please purge and expose every thought that is contrary to your truth about me. Remove the spirit of fear, doubt, low self esteem, and any other lie that attempts to hinder my effectiveness for you. I ask you to cover my mind with peace as I meditate upon your Words and thank you for the victory.”

Thoughts on Bitterness
Pride, bitterness, contentions, and un-forgiveness contaminate the well springs of life. “Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?”James 3:11 - Are you pouring forth LIFE GIVING water from the spring of God’s Spirit, or are you nicely packaged tap-water.
The refreshing wells of God’s Spirit are found well below the filth and crust of life. Those searching for a “quick-fix” will never discover the life giving reservoir. It can only be found by those who are willing to labor and push past mediocrity – those who are unwilling to be satisfied with anything less than God’s fullness.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Matthew 5:6
Thoughts on Hunger
Matt. 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they SHALL BE FILLED.” We encounter God in direct proportion to the extent of our hunger. Those filled with the pursuit of life will miss the passion and power of God. He does not inhabit hollow words, but genuine worship. Are you truly hungry?
Spiritual Warfare – Committed to fight
“No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the cares of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” 2 Tim 2:4
A true spiritual soldier pursues the desires of God over the desires of self. Once enlisted, they must become willing to fully surrender their will – they must accept the given task and prepare for deployment.
The spiritual combatant must be willing to train in the weapons of their warfare and become disciplined in their assignment. They must develop the heart of a warrior; one who is willing to follow the path of Christ in reckless abandon. Willing to pick up their cross and follow His leading – face fears, push past pain, never quit, and never stop advancing the mission.
Many are willing to carry the banner, but not all are willing to make it their life’s pursuit. Are you in? Are you committed? Are you willing to rise -up and come against the forces of darkness that are rapidly advancing against this generation? Or, will you stand idly by and watch the destruction of your nation, your homes, and your families?
The battle is fierce! God even sent His own son to die for the cause on the front lines. The time is now! The need is great! Set aside the work of your hands and accept the mission. Enlist today to become a soldier of the cross.
The Mission, should you choose to accept it: To know Christ and to make Him known. Arm for the fight!

Thoughts – On Being a Christian
Saying you’re a Christian is open to interpretation; however, truly living as one speaks for itself. People should be able to recognize that you’re a Christian, not because of your dress or jewelry, but because of the stark contrast in the way you respond and treat others. Jesus can’t live through us until He is living in us.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Thoughts on Promotion.
True success is found when we begin caring more about what God thinks about our reputation than what man thinks. Personality and charisma have the ability to open doors but only character and integrity can keep them open. “The righteous shall never be removed.” Proverbs 10:30

Halloween & Separation of Church and State
Halloween appears to be the only remaining “religious” based holiday that has somehow flown under the radar of those who adamantly seek for the separation of Church and State, and the end of all government based religious expressions. The celebration of Halloween, along with the traditions and symbols it carries, is directly associated with the religious practices and roots found within the pagan and Wiccan religions. Its traditions, practices, and even its secret symbolisms are evident in its display.
Although the varying pagan belief systems are recognized and listed within the U.S. Government as “Religions,” they somehow seem to escape the harsh criticism solely reserved for those sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. Anyone who would argue otherwise is either naive, or is willing to look the other way while Christianity is asked to tolerate religious discrimination.
Surprisingly, unlike the eviction of Christ’s manger from government lawns, or the removal of the Ten Commandment dedication plaques from public buildings, these occult based religious symbols are freely displayed in government buildings and schools throughout the U.S. every year. A school teacher who is dressed as a witch, a practitioner of Wicca and Neo-Paganism religion, can freely greet her students without concern – while one choosing to portray the image of Christ would be prevented from doing so. After all, we don’t want to push “Christianity” upon others. Meanwhile, government employees may freely greet you with “Happy Halloween.” Yet, they are cautioned against saying “Merry Christmas.” The Bible gets removed from school bookshelves while Harry Potter and witchcraft take its place. What is the difference you ask? None! This is exactly my point!
The proponents for the removal of religious expressions in public say that a “Crucified Christ” was too gory and hard-to-swallow. They say that our references to the “Blood of Christ” are utterly offensive. Yet, horror themed decorations consisting of dismembered extremities, blood covered victims of tortured deaths, and occult laden religious items are warmly welcomed as childish fun?
It seems to me that those who cry for “freedom from religion” don’t truly oppose religion – they just oppose Christianity. In all fairness to them though, it is possible that the efforts to eradicate every religious article from our history has taken its toll on the powerful watchdog groups like the ACLU. Or, perhaps, they were so busy trying to remove our Christian heritage from the foundation of our nation that all the other Pagan based religions failed to make their hit-list.
Every year I seem to cause a stir with my “fanatical” view points on the total abstinence from participation in Halloween. Perhaps my personal deliverance from the occult has better enabled me to see the hidden razor blade of satanic attachment cleverly wrapped up inside the so called treats of the holiday. I guess what really bothers me the most are those “Christians,” who defend these so called innocent pagan practices with more fire and conviction than they defend their own faith every other day of the year.
The tenants of the pagan religion call for the plight of self gratification and pleasure, the manipulation of others to get what you desire, and the honoring of yourself above God. With that definition in mind, we might have just discovered the predominant religion alive and well in America today. This explains the removal of the Bible from schools, Christ being extracted from Christmas, and the desire to remove every Christian reference from the foundation of our nation. If we as Christians are not careful we could easily find ourselves practicing a religion we never professed better than the one we claim to carry.

Thoughts on Strength
Christ desires that we use Him as a source of strength to stand, not as a crutch to lean on. Whereas a crutch is only used in times of weakness, Christ is a continual pillar in the lives of those who serve Him.
