There is a defining difference between petitioning God and proclaiming His promises. We petition God for things we seek, but must proclaim the things He has already promised. A child does not beg his father every day to access something that he has already been promised.
It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,” 2 Cor. 4:13
