Thoughts on Eternity

There are many padded chairs and pews that have spent their entire lives sitting inside the church, yet they will never make it into heaven. Even scarier, is the fact, that just because you sit on one doesn’t mean you will make it to heaven either. Occupying the church is good, but allowing Christ to occupy our hearts is essential. “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” Matthew 7:22-23
